The Los Angeles Angels have fired manager Brad Ausmus after just one season in the dugout, according to ESPN’s Buster Olney.
Ausmus managed the Angels to a 72-90 record in his lone campaign with the team – finishing fourth in the AL West – as L.A. missed the post-season for the ninth time in the last 10 seasons and fifth straight year.
The Angels job becomes just the latest to open in MLB over the last few days, others of which include the Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates.
