TORONTO — As if another loss by the Toronto Blue Jays was not bad enough some of the announced crowd of 13,556 at Rogers Centre got wet.
As the Blue Jays were struggling against the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday, rain began to fall on some of the fans when the retractable roof did not close in time during the middle innings.
An announcement was made to the fans that because of technical difficulties, the roof was closing more slowly than usual.
Some fans had opened umbrellas while other went to more sheltered areas of the stadium.
Then a fire alarm went off for a short time but an announcement was made that there was no problem.
The roof finally was closed late in the game with little disruption.
A rare rain delay in Toronto looming? Roof at dome appears to be stuck with some 150 or so feet to go, rain falling in.

They are trying to close the roof at Rogers Centre but it isn’t moving. The roof looks to be DL bound.Pretty much sums up the #Jays season

So it’s raining inside the Rogers centre, but the real question is do they have a tarp?

Now they are playing “it’s raining men” over the sound system. #jays

It’s madness at the dome. Now there’s a fire alarm going off. The game continues while frosh kids keep chanting. Wild.
