The Phoenix Suns got their man with the No. 1 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, adding Deandre Ayton first overall, as had long been expected.
Atlanta and Dallas added some drama to the top five as well, swapping the Nos. 3 and 5 picks to send Slovenian guard Luka Doncic to the Mavericks and Oklahoma’s Trae Young to the Hawks.
Canadian guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander heard his name called at 11th overall, as the Charlotte Hornets added the Hamilton, Ont., native before immediately trading him to the Los Angeles Clippers.
