Toronto Raptors Second Team All-NBAer DeMar DeRozan earned some bragging rights over BFF and teammate Kyle Lowry on Tuesday.

A report by Forbes listing the world’s 100 highest-paid athletes placed DeRozan 39th with earnings of $33 million between June 1, 2017 and June 1, 2018, while Lowry earned $30.5 million for 48th spot. The pair earned $5.5 million and $1.5 million, respectively, in endorsements.

Both are four-time all-stars now, and their salaries reflect that. DeRozan was rewarded with a five-year, $139 million contract in the summer of 2016, while Lowry re-signed with the Raptors for $100 million over three years in the 2017 off-season.

Floyd Mayweather took home the top spot with $285 million, courtesy of a $275 million payday from his bout with Conor McGregor, who took home $85 million from the fight and a further $14 million in endorsements to finish fourth on the list.

Among the leaders in their respective sports were Lionel Messi, LeBron James, Roger Federer, Matt Ryan, Lewis Hamilton, Tiger Woods and Clayton Kershaw. No NHL players made the list.

Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto is the only Canadian on the list, placing 91st with a total income of $23.4 million. There are 65 Americans on the list and 23 different countries represented in total.

No women made the list this year, with last year’s only representative Serena Williams falling out due to her extended absence from the game after giving birth to her daughter, Alexis.

Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is the youngest name on the list at 23 years old, while golfer Phil Mickelson is the oldest at 47.

The earnings include all prize money, salaries, and bonuses earned during the time period mentioned previously. Endorsement incomes are an estimate of sponsorship deals, appearance fees and licensing income.
