Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry will not return to Saturday’s game against the Chicago Bulls with an apparent ankle injury.

After briefly returning to the tunnel late in the third quarter, Lowry came back to the bench for the fourth, only to leave shortly thereafter.

With the Raptors leading by a sizeable margin, Toronto elected to keep Lowry on the bench for the remainder of the contest.

As far as Lowry’s status for Tuesday’s game against the Orlando Magic is concerned, Raptors head coach Nick Nurse is optimistic he’ll have his star point guard in the lineup.

Lowry entered the game averaging an impressive 15.9 points and 10.5 assists on the season, leading the league in assists per game.
