Raptors’ VanVleet doubtful for Game 2 vs. Wizards

Tim and Sid discuss the Raptors beating the Wizards in Game 1 and if the bench will be the difference in the series.

Toronto Raptors reserve guard Fred VanVleet is doubtful for Tuesday’s Game 2 playoff matchup with the Washington Wizards.

VanVleet injured his shoulder during Wednesday’s regular-season finale against the Miami Heat and was forced to exit that game in the fourth quarter. He missed Game 1 against the Wizards on Saturday but the Raptors were still able to grab the win and take a 1-0 series lead.

The 24-year-old averaged 8.6 points per game and shot 41.4 per cent from three-point range this season.

In VanVleet’s absence, fellow guard Delon Wright stepped up in a big way in Game 1, scoring 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including a 3-of-4 mark from three-point range.
