Report: Raptors’ Leiweke fires Alvin Williams

Williams spent the last season in a scouting role.

New MLSE CEO Tim Leiweke has continued his overhaul of the Toronto Raptors’ front office by dismissing popular scout Alvin Williams, according to a report in the Toronto Star.

Williams spent the past season in a scouting role for the club. He was one of the organization’s most well-liked and respected players during his playing tenure in Toronto from 1998-2005.

The former point guard was part of the lone Raptors’ team to win a playoff series back in 2000-01.
