SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs have signed forward Steve Novak for the rest of the season and added guard/forward Othyus Jeffers on a 10-day contract.
The deal announced Friday came after Neal signed a pair of 10-day contracts, the most allowed before a player must be added to the roster permanently if the team wants to keep him.
Novak is averaging 2.5 points and 6.1 minutes in eight games for the Spurs since signing out of Reno of the NBA Development League on Feb. 8. He started the season with the Dallas Mavericks.
Jeffers averaged 21.2 points and 9.0 rebounds in 37 games with Iowa in the NBDL.
