Argonauts release running back Johnson

TORONTO — The Toronto Argonauts released running back Jeremiah Johnson on Tuesday.

Johnson signed with Toronto as a free agent in January.

Johnson played in five games this season, rushing for 110 yards on 21 carries. He also added 15 catches for 112 yards with one touchdown.

Toronto (3-6) is scheduled to face the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (1-6) in the first game at Tim Hortons Field on Monday.
