Steelheads trade forward Owen Tippett to Spirit

The Saginaw Spirit acquired forward Owen Tippett from the Mississauga Steelheads Saturday.

In return, the Steelheads received Aidan Prueter and six draft picks.

Tippett appeared in 182 games over four seasons with the Steelheads. He recorded 114 goals and 89 assists for 203 points during that span.

The Peterborough, Ont., native was selected by the Florida Panthers with the 10th overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft.
