An artist just made a flipbook of Holtby’s incredible paddle save

Watch as Braden Holtby makes an incredible save on Alex Tuch to preserve a 3-2 lead late in the third period of Game 2.

The very moment Braden Holtby stumped Alex Tuch with the paddle of his stick with two minutes to go in Game 2, we knew we’d seen one of the greatest-ever Stanley Cup Final saves.

Like most great hockey highlights, we can’t. Stop. Watching. It. Now, an artist known as The Flippist just gifted us with a new way to enjoy the save: in flipbook form.

If you’re familiar with The Flippist, then you’ve probably seen some of his other creations. Past sports-inspired flipbooks include Usain Bolt’s lightning-fast Olympic appearance, the Chicago Blackhawks’ 2015 Stanley Cup run, and Vladimir Tarasenko’s insane defence-splitting marker scored against the New York Rangers a few seasons ago.
