The Colorado Avalanche added depth up front, signing forward Blake Comeau to a three-year deal.
Comeau, 29, recorded 16 goals and 15 assists in 61 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins last season.
“Blake is a versatile forward who is dependable and can be used in all situations,” Avalanche executive Joe Sakic said in a statement. “He will add not only scoring but also some grit to our lineup as well.”
Comeau has tallied 195 points in 483 career NHL games with the New York Islanders, Calgary Flames, Columbus Blue Jackets and Penguins.
The veteran winger was originally selected by the Islanders in the second round (47th overall) of the 2004 NHL Draft.
