Blackhawks staffer Reif’s death ruled a suicide

Chicago Blackhawks assistant equipment manager Clint Reif talks about dealing with the many superstitions of players.

On Dec. 21, Chicago Blackhawks equipment manager Clint Reif was found unresponsive in his home.

On Tuesday, authorities in DuPage County released a statement saying Reif’s death had been ruled a suicide after running toxicology tests.

Reif was 34 and leaves behind a wife and four children.

Episode 2 of this year’s Road To The Winter Classic series payed homage to Reif and the work he did with the Blackhawks.
