Blackhawks sign defenceman Darren Raddysh to two-year contract

The Chicago Blackhawks signed defenceman Darren Raddysh to a two-year contract, the team announced Monday.

Financial details were not disclosed.

Raddysh had five goals, 17 assists and 26 penalty minutes in 66 games with the Rockford IceHogs in his first season in the AHL.

The 22-year-old Toronto native was an undrafted free agent who joined the Blackhawks organization when he signed a one-year AHL contract with Rockford in June 2017.

He was named top defenceman in the Ontario Hockey in in 2016-17 as a member of the Erie Otters.

Raddysh is the older brother of Tampa Bay Lightning prospect Taylor Raddysh.
