Blackhawks sign forward Philipp Kurashev to entry-level contract

The Chicago Blackhawks have signed forward Philipp Kurashev to a three-year, entry-level contract that begins next season.

The contract carries an average annual value of $925,000.

Kurashev will remain with the QMJHL’s Quebec Remparts for the remainder of the season. Originally a fourth-round pick in 2018, he has 28 goals and 62 points in 57 games this season.

The 19-year-old was an assistant captain on Team Switzerland at the World Junior Hockey Championship, where he had six goals and seven points in seven games.
