The St. Louis Blues have signed restricted free agent forward Robby Fabbri to a one-year deal, the club announced Tuesday.
The contract will see him earn $925,000 in 2018-19, after which he will again be an RFA.
The 22-year-old winger missed the entire 2017-18 campaign while recovering from ACL surgery — the second of his young career — and hasn’t suited up for a game since Feb. 4, 2017. He was medically cleared by the Blues to resume full training earlier on Tuesday, and is expected to be ready for training camp in September.
In 123 career regular season NHL games, Fabbri has registered 29 goals and 37 assists for 66 points.
Blues GM Doug Armstrong has plenty more work ahead of him — Fabbri is the second of nine qualified RFAs to be signed so far this off-season. The club also signed forward MacKenzie MacEachern to a one-year contract on Tuesday.
