Canadiens sign forward Shinkaruk to 1-year contract

The Montreal Canadiens have signed forward Hunter Shinkaruk to a one-year, two-way contract hours after acquiring him from the Calgary Flames on Monday.

The 23-year-old will make $650,000 at the NHL in the upcoming 2018-19 season.

Shinkaruk scored 17 goals and 32 points in 63 games while playing with the Stocktown Heat last in 2017-18.
