Capitals sign forward Brendan Leipsic to one-year contract

The Washington Capitals have signed forward Brendan Leipsic to a one-year, $700,000 contract.

Leipsic, 25, scored seven goals and added 16 assists in 62 games for the Los Angeles Kings and Vancouver Canucks last season.

In 126 career games split between the Toronto Maple Leafs, Vegas Golden Knights, Canucks and Kings, Leipsic has recorded 13 goals and 35 assists.
