Shane Doan joined Prime Time Sports to talk about signing for another year in Arizona and how Auston Matthews fits in with the Maple Leafs.

The Arizona Coyotes signed defenceman Michael Stone to a one-year, $4-million deal Thursday, according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.

Stone, 26, was previously an RFA and will become a UFA at the end of his current contract should the Coyotes not re-sign him.

The former third-round draft choice from 2008 has played 279 career NHL games, scoring 23 goals and 87 points. Last season, he scored six goals and 36 points (a career-high) in 75 games.

Arizona also signed defenceman Connor Murphy to a six-year contract Thursday.
