The Anaheim Ducks have made Martin Madden their assistant general manager, as announced in a release from the team on Tuesday.

Martin has been with Anaheim for the past 12 years, most recently serving as the director of amateur scouting.

As assistant GM, Martin will oversee scouting efforts at the pro and amateur levels, while assuming an expanded role in the Ducks’ general hockey operations.

The Quebec City native was an amateur scout with the Carolina Hurricanes when they won the 2006 Stanley Cup, and he has previously scouted for the New York Rangers as well.
