Ducks sign Nick Ritchie to 3-year deal

Watch as some questionable defence by the Detroit Red Wings leads to an easy goal for Nick Ritchie.

The Anaheim Ducks have signed forward Nick Ritchie to a three-year contract that carries a $1.533-million cap hit.

Ritchie had been a restricted free agent, coming off a 10-goal, 27-point campaign last season.

The 22-year-old was the 10th-overall pick of the 2014 NHL Draft.

The deal leaves William Nylander as the lone remaining RFA unsigned.

Ritchie will be paid $1.2 million in Year 1 of the deal, $1.4 million in Year 2, and $2 million in Year 3.
