Edmonton Oilers sign Cooper Marody to entry-level contract

The Edmonton Oilers announced that they have signed forward Cooper Marody to a three-year, entry-level contract.

The Oilers acquired the rights to 21-year-old on March 21 from the Philadelphia Flyers. The Flyers originally drafted Marody in the sixth round (158th overall) of the 2015 draft.

The Michigan native led the University of Michigan Wolverines in scoring with 16 goals, 35 assists for 51 points in 40 games.

Marody finished his NCAA career with 31 goals, 59 assists and 90 points in 90 games over three seasons with the Wolverines.
