Eric Lindros wears Nordiques sweater for first time

Eric Lindros talks about entering the NHL Hall of Fame.

Twenty-six years later, Eric Lindros has finally donned a Quebec Nordiques sweater.

It’s a pretty strange sight, considering the Hall of Famer’s history with the franchise, which was relocated to Colorado in 1995.

The Big E appears to be wearing the sweater during a taping of Radio Canada’s Tout le monde en parle this weekend to discuss the upcoming documentary, Lindros revisité, which dives into the events of the early 1990s.

The 1991 No. 1 draft pick made it known he wouldn’t sign with the franchise, and refused to pull on his new team’s sweater when they drafted him after all.

Lindros, of course, never played a game for the Nordiques, instead opting to spend time in the juniors and skate with the Canadian national team until his rights were eventually dealt away to the Philadelphia Flyers a year later in a monstrous (and highly-contested) deal—just ask the New York Rangers.
