Flames sign first round pick Juuso Valimaki to entry-level deal

The Calgary Flames announced the signing of first round pick Juuso Valimaki to a three-year, entry-level contract.

The Nokia, Finland native spent the last two seasons playing for the Tri-City Americans in the Western Hockey League. The 6-foot-2 defenceman scored 19 goals and added 42 assists in 60 games last year.

Valimaki was selected 16th overall by the Flames.
