Flyers sign defenceman Tyler Wotherspoon to two-year, two-way deal

The Philadelphia Flyers have signed defenceman Tyler Wotherspoon to a two-year, two-way deal that carries an average annual value of $700,000.

Wotherspoon, 26, was a former second-round pick by the Calgary Flames in 2011.

Last season as a member of the AHL’s San Antonio Rampage he scored four goals and added 18 assists in 70 games played.
