Vegas Golden Knights forward Max Pacioretty has been fined $2,500 for his slash on Chicago Blackhawks forward Alex DeBrincat late in Game 4 of their first-round series on Sunday, the NHL’s Department of Player Safety announced.

Pacioretty slashed DeBrincat just before he put away an empty-net goal on a breakaway with close to 10 seconds remaining in Chicago’s 3-1 win.
