Golden Knights sign Deryk Engelland to one-year contract

The Vegas Golden Knights have signed defenceman Deryk Engelland to a one-year contract, the team announced Tuesday.

According to the team, the contract has a base salary of $700,000 but incentives could bring the total up to $1.5 million.

Engelland, 37, has spent the last two seasons with the Golden Knights after being selected from the Calgary Flames in the 2017 expansion draft. In 153 regular-season games, the Edmonton native has seven goals and 35 points for Vegas, adding three assists and 34 penalty minutes in 27 playoff games.
