Coyotes will need ‘big offer’ to deal Hanzal

When it comes to the Arizona Coyotes’ trade talks, it seems like just about everyone is up for grabs.

The Coyotes have made it clear they are ready to deal several players as they work to build a younger, faster and ultimately better team–especially after Saturday’s frustrating 7-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators.

The most wanted Coyote so far? Centre Martin Hanzal.

During Hockey Night in Canada’s Headlines segment, Elliotte Friedman stressed that Coyotes GM Don Maloney was not keen to trade the 27-year-old power forward, but isn’t completely closed off to the idea.

“Don Maloney did say this week that he is not that interested in dealing Hanzal,” said Friedman. “But if he did, step up with a big offer because it would take that to do it.”

Hanzal has eight goals and 16 assists in 37 games played this season with the Coyotes.
