Hurricanes sign Phil Di Giuseppe to 1-year deal

The Carolina Hurricanes have signed forward Phil Di Giuseppe to a one-year, $750,000 contract.

Di Giuseppe, 24, skated in a career-high 49 games with the Hurricanes in 2017-18, recording five goals and eight assists.

“Phil is a versatile player who has shown he can contribute in a number of ways on the NHL level,” said Hurricanes president and general manager Don Waddell in a release.

Originally selected by the Hurricanes in the second round of the 2012 NHL Draft, Di Giuseppe has scored 13 goals and added 24 assists in 126 career NHL games.
