Islanders agree to entry-level contract with defenceman Samuel Bolduc

The New York Islanders have agreed to a three-year, entry-level contract with defenceman Samuel Bolduc.

Terms of the deal were not released.

Bolduc, 19, was a second-round pick by the Islanders in 2019. He split the 2019-20 season between the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada and Sherbrooke Phoenix of the QMJHL, scoring a career-high 43 points in 61 games.

In 189 career QMJHL games over four seasons, he recorded 94 points, 61 penalty minutes and a minus-three rating. He is expected to play with the AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers next season.
