Did you know Nazem Kadri’s cat, Jazzy, has an Instagram account?
Now you do and, surprise surprise, she’s a Maple Leafs fan.
Ironically, none of the Maple Leafs seem to be fans of Jazzy — either that or Kadri’s teammates are using the fact his pet has its own social media account to give the centreman a hard time.
“He got it last year and decided to put it public this year apparently. I’m not going to follow though. Just not a fan of that cat, I don’t know why.” joked Jake Gardiner. “I’m just joking. I don’t really care. But he’s pumped about it.”
Super rookies Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews also said they don’t follow Jazzy on Instagram.
“I don’t follow Jazzy Cat on Instagram, but I might have to here soon just so I can keep up with what’s going on in her life. It’s very interesting,” Matthews said. “He’s always talking about this cat non-stop and so I think he just decided to make an Instagram.”
It’s all fun and games until it has a real impact on your team. But a cat with its own Instagram account can’t have a big impact on an NHL team, can it?
Well, it can if your best player is allergic to them. Keep Jazzy away from Matthews!
“I’m not a big cat guy,” Matthews said. “I don’t know if I’m allergic, but anytime I’m around them I always get stuffy. Maybe a couple years down the line I’ll look to get a dog.”
