Winnipeg Jets forward Alex Burmistrov has been fined $2,000 after receiving his second citation for diving and/or embellishment Thursday.

The second citation came after Burmistrov embellished a trip against Arizona Coyotes defenceman Michael Stone on Jan. 26.

He had been previously warned earlier after an incident on Oct. 27 against the Los Angeles Kings

Under NHL Rule 64, players receive one warning before being handed down a $2,000 fine by the NHL’s Hockey Operations Department

Burmistrov is the seventh player this year to receive a second citation, and second Jet, after Nikolaj Ehlers was fined on Jan. 7.

The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
