The Winnipeg Jets have signed defenceman Anthony Bitetto to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced Tuesday.
The contract has an average annual value of $700,000.

Bitetto, 28, played for the Minnesota Wild and Nashville Predators last season, tallying three assists and 12 penalty minutes in 36 games. For his career, Bitetto has recorded two goals, 19 points and 90 penalty minutes in 132 NHL games.
Bitetto was originally drafted by the Predators in the sixth round of the 2010 NHL Draft, 168th overall. He was claimed off waivers by the Wild in January.
