Kings sign Alex Iafallo to two-year contract to avoid arbitration

The Los Angeles Kings have signed forward Alex Iafallo for a two-year contract with an average annual value of $2.425 million.

The new deal means Iafallo and the Kings avoid arbitration, which was scheduled for July 20.

Iafallo, 25, recorded 15 goals and 33 points in 82 games for the Kings last season. Since being signed has a free agent out of the University of Minnesota-Duluth in April 2017, the Eden, N.Y., native has appeared 157 games for L.A., posting 58 points.
