Kings sign Michael Mersch to one-year extension

The Los Angeles Kings have signed forward Michael Mersch to a one-year, two-way contract extension.

Mersch made his NHL debut during the 2015-16 season with the Kings, posting three points in 17 games. The 24-year-old spent the 2016-17 campaign with the AHL’s Ontario Reign, scoring 16 goals to go along with 17 assists in 48 games.

A native of Park Ridge, Ill, Mersch was originally selected by the Kings in the fourth round of the 2011 draft.
