Leafs sign defenceman Andreas Borgman to entry-level deal

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed Swedish defenceman Andreas Borgman to a two-year entry-level contract.

Borgman had five goals and 15 points in 45 games with HV71 of the Swedish Hockey League this past season.

He had an excellent post-season, scoring 10 points in 14 games en route to an SHL championship.

The 21-year-old was named the league’s rookie of the year.
