Lightning re-sign defenceman Jake Dotchin to two-year deal

The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed defenceman Jake Dotchin to a two-year deal with an average annual value of $812,500, the team announced Wednesday.

The 23-year-old blue-liner made his NHL debut for the Lightning in January, recording 11 assists and a plus-10 rating in 35 games. Dotchin also played in 35 regular-season contests and 19 playoff games for the AHL Syracuse Crunch, totalling 19 points.

The six-foot-three, 210-pound Dotchin was drafted by Tampa Bay in the sixth round (161st overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft.
