Lightning sign goaltender Louis Domingue to two-year contract

The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed goaltender Louis Domingue to a two-year contract extension with a cap hit of $1.15 million per season.

The 26-year-old had a 7-9-1 record in 19 games last season for the Lightning and Arizona Coyotes posting a 3.41 goals-against average and a .894 save percentage.

Domingue also appeared in 18 games for the Syracuse Crunch posting a 13-5 record along with a 2.17 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage.

The Quebec native is expected to be the backup next season after Tampa Bay traded Peter Budaj to the Los Angeles Kings.
