Maple Leafs sign Adam Brooks to two-year, two-way extension

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed forward Adam Brooks to a two-year, two-way contract extension worth an average annual value of $725,000.

Brooks, 24, has appeared in seven games for the Maple Leafs this season, recording three assists. The Winnipeg native also registered nine goals and 20 points in 29 contests for the Toronto Marlies in 2019-20.

A fourth-round pick (92nd overall) of the Maple Leafs in 2016, Brooks has played in 147 career regular-season games in the AHL with Toronto, racking up 79 points over that span. He’s also chipped in 14 points in 33 playoff games, including six points in the Marlies’ 2018 run to a Calder Cup championship.
