Chris Johnston weighs in on the struggles of the St. Louis Blues, and the Toronto Maple Leafs recent signing of Calle Rosen.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed defenceman Calle Rosen to a two-year, $1.5 million contract extension.

Rosen has been a mainstay with the AHL’s Toronto Marlies over the past two seasons, contributing 41 points over 86 games since the start of the 2017-18 campaign.

He has yet to appear in a NHL game this season, but last year had one assist in four games with the Maple Leafs.

The 24-year-old Swede was signed as a free agent by the Maple Leafs in May 2017.
