Maple Leafs sign Marner to entry-level contract

Toronto Maple Leafs first round draft pick Mitch Marner joins Sportsnet Central’s Hugh Burrill to talk about signing with the Leafs and the moves the team has made in the front office and behind the bench.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed 2015 first-round pick Mitch Marner to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Marner, who was selected fourth overall, totalled 44 goals and 126 points in 63 games with the OHL’s London Knights in 2014-15.

The 18-year-old was the OHL’s second-leading scorer last season behind Arizona Coyotes’ first-round pick (third overall) Dylan Strome.
