Lou Lamoriello joined Prime Time Sports to talk about the young Maple Leafs and the success they had.

The Toronto Maple Leafs added two new faces to its blue line Tuesday, signing Swedish free agent defencemen Calle Rosén and Andreas Borgman to two-year entry level deals.

Both players spent the 2016-17 campaign impressing in the Swedish Hockey League.

Rosén had six goals, 13 assists and 10 penalty minutes in 41 games with his hometown team, Växjö, this past season. The 23-year-old had been linked to the Maple Leafs since April. The Chicago Blackhawks were reportedly among the teams interested in Rosén.

Meanwhile, Borgman registered five goals, 10 assists and 26 penalty minutes in 45 games with HV71. Borgman, 21, also won the SHL’s Rookie of the Year award and had a strong showing with 10 points in 14 playoff games en route to helping lead his team to a league championship.
