A wild week for Martin Jones has finally come to an end.

On the same day that he was acquired by San Jose from the Boston Bruins, the Sharks signed the goaltender to a three-year contract.

Jones was traded to Boston by the Los Angeles Kings four days ago in a deal that involved power forward Milan Lucic. The Bruins then flipped Jones back to the Pacific division on Tuesday for a 2016 first-round pick and prospect Sean Kuraly.

“Martin was at the top of our list of players that we had targeted,” Sharks general manager Doug Wilson said in a release. “We’re extremely excited to have him on board.”
