Michael Del Zotto returns to Ducks on one-year contract

Veteran defenceman Michael Del Zotto is returning to the Anaheim Ducks on a one-year contract.

Del Zotto appeared in 12 games for the Ducks last season.

The 29-year-old played in 42 games with the Vancouver Canucks, Ducks and St. Louis Blues last season, scoring one goal and 10 points. He didn’t appear in any playoff games as the Blues won the Stanley Cup.

Since making his NHL debut with the New York Rangers in 2009-10, Del Zotto has 54 goals and 221 points in 608 career games.
