NHL agents aren’t often all in the same room at the same time but that’s what will happen next week when the group gathers for a meeting in Toronto on Tuesday.
One topic the group will cover at the meeting revolves around the future of NHL Players’ Association (NHLPA) executive director Donald Fehr.
“There’s been a battle internally about having a review done about the leadership of Don Fehr,” Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported Saturday during the Headlines segment on Hockey Night in Canada. “To this point, that review has not gained support. We’re going to find out on Tuesday, with all the agents in one room, if there is the support for an independent review of Don Fehr’s leadership.”
Fehr has been the NHLPA’s executive director since December 2010 when he was voted in one year after stepping down as MLBPA executive director.
