NHL announces start times for five games on Wednesday

The Hockey Central panel go over the tough losses that were dealt to the Calgary Flames, Montreal Canadiens and Vancouver Canucks in the first round of the playoffs.

The NHL has announced start times for the five games scheduled to be played this Wednesday.

The day will begin with Game 5 between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Tampa Bay Lightning at noon ET/ 9 a.m. PT. In Canada, the game will be shown on Sportsnet. The Lightning currently lead the series 2-1 with Game 4 scheduled to be played at 3 p.m. ET/ noon PT on Monday on Sportsnet.

The second game in the Toronto bubble on Wednesday will be Game 5 between the Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes, which will be at 4 p.m. ET/ 1 p.m. PT on Sportsnet. The Bruins took 2-1 lead by winning Game 3 on Saturday only hours after learning goaltender Tuukka Rask had chosen to opt-out of the remainder of the playoffs. Game 4 of this series is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT on Monday on Sportsnet.

The first game in the Edmonton bubble Wednesday will be Game 5 between the Arizona Coyotes and Colorado Avalanche. Puck drop for that game will be at 5:30 p.m. ET/ 2:30 p.m. PT and the game will be shown on Sportsnet 360. The Avalanche currently lead the series 2-1 with Game 4 on Monday at 5:30 p.m. ET/ 2:30 p.m. PT on FX.

The final game in the Toronto bubble Wednesday will be Game 5 between the Montreal Canadiens and Philadelphia Flyers, which will begin at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and CBC. The Flyers took a 2-1 lead in the series Sunday with a shutout win. Game 4 of this series will be played Tuesday at 3 p.m. ET/ noon PT on Sportsnet.

Finally, Wednesday’s wall-to-wall hockey action will conclude with Game 5 between the Vancouver Canucks and St. Louis Blues at 10:30 p.m. ET/ 7:30 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and CBC. The Blues won Game 3 Sunday in overtime but the Canucks still lead the series 2-1. Game 4 of this series is scheduled for Monday night at 10:30 p.m. ET/ 7:30 p.m. PT on Sportsnet.
