An Edmonton Oilers prospect is getting praise from his opponent after a show of sportsmanship following a fight in the American Hockey League on Saturday night.

Forward Colby Cave, who has played in two games this season with the Oilers, fought Calgary Flames prospect Martin Pospisil when the two were playing for Bakersfield and Stockton, respectively.

The fight ended suddenly with Cave earning a knockout.

A fight can often lead to bad blood, but that doesn’t appear to be the case this time.

Pospisil, 19, tweeted on Sunday that Cave had reached out to him to make sure he was OK.

Both Cave and Pospisil won’t have to wait long to go toe to toe again should they decide to do so as the Condors visit Stockton next weekend.
