Oilers recall defenceman Ryan Stanton from Bakersfield

David Amber and Colby Armstrong recap an ugly loss by the Edmonton Oilers to the St. Louis Blues.

The Edmonton Oilers have recalled defenceman Ryan Stanton from AHL Bakersfield.

Stanton signed a two-year deal with the Oilers on July 1, after spending the 2016-17 season with the Colorado Avalanche and Columbus Blue Jackets organizations.

The 28-year-old has no points and 10 penalty minutes in eight games with the Condors this season.

He has four goals and 27 points in 120 career NHL games.

Forward Brad Malone was assigned to Bakersfield.
