Oilers sign Ryan Strome to 2-year deal

The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Ryan Strome to a two-year contract worth $6.2 million.

Strome had 13 goals and 21 assists this past season, his first in Edmonton after coming over in the trade that sent Jordan Eberle to the New York Islanders.

The 24-year-old was a restricted free agent.

He was selected by the Islanders with the fifth-overall pick of the 2011 NHL Draft.
