The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed defenceman Calen Addison to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Addison is currently signed to an amateur tryout contract with the AHL’s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins for the remainder of the season. His entry-level contract begins next season.

The 18-year-old was selected by the Penguins in the second round (53rd overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft. He spent the past season with the Lethbridge Hurricanes, who were eliminated by the Calgary Hitmen in the WHL playoffs.

Addison had 11 goals and 54 assists in 67 regular season games for the Hurricanes along with two goals and seven assists in seven playoff games.
